Fazemos, hoje, quatro anos de existência! No escritório da nossa casa, na rua de São Mamede ao Caldas, onde já não vivemos para dar lugar aos turistas, nasceu a página Lisbon Art Memories. Estávamos em 2014, Lisboa começava, lentamente, a recuperar da crise, e a nossa vontade de fazer parte disso e partilhar a cidade, materializa-se. 

Today, we celebrate four years old! In the office of our house, in the street of São Mamede ao Caldas, where we no longer live to give place to the tourists, was born the page Lisbon Art Memories. We were in 2014, Lisbon was, slowly, beginning to recover from the crisis, and our desire to be part of it and share the city, materializes.

Temos esse olhar de retrospectiva. Nos últimos quatro anos, a cidade cresceu, muito rapidamente, e nós também crescemos com ela. Fomos ganhando seguidores, admiradores, outros, nem por isso, e muitos visitantes, de todo o lado, que interagem com a página e lhe dão a riqueza que ela tem. Que a engrandecem, que nos responsabiliza e nos motiva a continuar, a fazer melhor. 

We have this retrospective look. In the last four years, the city has grown very rapidly, and we have grown with it, too. We have been gaining followers, admirers, others, not for that, and many visitors, from everywhere, who interact with the page and give it the wealth it has. That they magnify it, that it makes us responsible and motivates us to continue, to do better.

Têm sido quatro anos de crescimento, de conhecimento, de descoberta, de partilha, e, sobretudo, de aprendizagem. Conhecer Lisboa, sentir Lisboa, descobrir os seus segredos, as suas coisas, as suas ruas e becos, escadinhas, travessas, calçadas e praças, os seus bairros, as suas colinas e as suas gentes. E poder mostrá-la aos que estão ausentes, e revivem, assim, a cidade. 

It has been four years of growth, of knowledge, of discovery, of sharing, and, above all, of learning. Get to know Lisbon, feel Lisbon, discover its secrets, it’s things, its streets and alleys, steps, sidewalks, squares, its neighborhoods, its hills and its people. And be able to show it to those who are absent, and thus revive the city.

Quatro anos a mostrar o dia-a-dia de Lisboa, da cidade que cresce e todos querem conhecer. Esta velha Lisboa, milenar e ao mesmo tempo moderna e cosmopolita, que se afirma. Percorrer a sua arte, a nova e a antiga, a clássica e a contemporânea. Conhecer a cultura da cidade, os seus modos, as suas festas e arraiais, os seus hábitos, as suas belezas. O tempo de Lisboa, a riqueza da sua história e dos seus encantos. 

Four years to show the day-to-day life of Lisbon, the city that grows and everyone wants to know. This old Lisbon, millenarian and at the same time modern and cosmopolitan, is affirmed. Go through your art, the new and the old, the classical and the contemporary. To know the culture of the city, its manners, its festivals and its habits, its beauties. The time of Lisbon, the richness of its history and its charms.

Percorrer, livremente, as ruas, andar de elétrico, ver os azulejos, os palácios, as igrejas, os jardins, os museus. Descobrir, finalmente, a luz e as cores da cidade que se refletem na arquitetura do casario que desce para o rio. No fim, teremos, então, a oportunidade de ver a alma de Lisboa? Não sei! Será a descoberta ou a redescoberta de cada um, fica o desafio. Da nossa parte, comprometemo-nos a partilhar a Lisboa que nos encanta e nos faz acordar todos os dias. 

Go freely, through the streets, walk by tram, see the tiles, the palaces, the churches, the gardens, the museums. Finally, discover the light and the colors of the city that are reflected in the architecture of the houses that goes down to the river. In the end, will we then have the opportunity to see the soul of Lisbon? We do not know! It will be the discovery or the rediscovery of each one, the challenge remains. For our part, we are committed to sharing the Lisbon that enchants us and makes us wake up every day.
